Starlab is a private company based in Barcelona, Spain, developing products and providing R&D solutions and services to a wide range of institutional and private clients (www.starlab.es).

In our Neuroscience Research department we currently lead or participate in a wide range of private and public research projects and wish to add a senior researcher with extensive project management experience to the team.

The successful candidate will contribute to ongoing projects in their role as project manager and senior researcher. They will also be expected to contribute to the preparation of both public and industrial proposals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordination of ongoing national and EU projects
  • Effective and efficient implementation of on-going project plans
  • Management of project teams and resources
  • Contribution to ongoing research in neuroscience (BCI, EEG feature extraction/analysis using Machine Learning techniques, Non-invasive brain stimulation)
  • Support of business development team (industrial contracts)
  • Support of product development team

 

 

Key requirements: 

 

MSc. or PhD: Computational Neuroscience or Neural Engineering or related

  • Machine Learning techniques
  • Advanced mathematical techniques applied to the field of neuroscience
  • Signal processing techniques
  • Knowledge of neurophysiology a plus
  • Knowledge of public research funding schemes
  • Fluent English and Spanish (both spoken and written) Catalan a plus

At least 2 years' experience in managing publicly funded projects (EU FP7, National etc.)

At least 3 years' experience working in a multidisciplinary, multi-project research environment
